Marina Atavadjieva

Risk Management

Marina Atavadjieva supervises the development of the integrated risk-management system, including financial, market, and operational risks.

Before taking up a position at ATON, Ms. Atavadjieva had worked as a risk-manager with AMC Renaissance Asset Managers: previously, she had dealt with risk consolidation at the financial corporation Uralsib and the development of transaction limits system for the corporation’s divisions.

In 2002 - 2005, she worked in Market Risk Assessment and Analysis Unit of the Directorate for Financial Risks Analysis at the commercial bank Rosbank.

Graduated from the Moscow State University (Department of Mechanics and Mathematics and Department of Economics).


Murat Bersekov

Fixed Income

Prior to joining ATON worked for Troika Dialog, with Deutsche Bank in Japan and at CentroCredit Bank

Graduated from Kabardino-Balkarian State University (finance), MBA from University of Hawaii


Natalya Varpetyan

Сommunications

Ms Varpetyan joined ATON in 2009 as head of press service. Two years later she was appointed director for internal and external communications.

Before joining ATON, Natalya was press secretary for GE Capital – GE finance department, where she coordinated work with media, and designed and implemented the internal communication system. She had previously worked at the Russian news agency RIA Novosti.

She graduated from the Arts Faculty of the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia, specialising in media communications, and has a graduate arts degree.


Peter Westin

Equity Strategy

Before joining LLC Aton, Peter was Head of Equity Strategy for Russia and Turkey at J.P. Morgan, and earlier held the Chief Economist position at MDM Bank and prior to that at Aton Capital.

From 1998 to 2001 he worked in Moscow for the Stockholm Institute for Transition Economics (SITE) and the Russian European Centre for Economic Policy (RECEP) where he edited Russian Economic Trends , at the time the leading publication on the Russian economy. Concurrently, he also acted as an advisor to the Russian and the Swedish governments.

Prior to RECEP, Peter was a lecturer in transition economics at University College London from which he also has a Ph.D. In 2005 he was voted No. 1 EMEA economist by Thomson Extel, and is also the author of The Wild East: Negotiating the Russian Financial Frontier, published in 2001.


Ivan Kuznetsov

Legal

Prior to joining ATON, Ivan worked at Alfa Capital and Alfa Bank, and was also the Head of Legal at the RTS Stock Exchange, and the Head of Legal at UniCredit Securities.

He accepted the award ’Best Legal Department’ («Elite of Stock Market 2008»).

Ivan is a graduate of Moscow State University’s Law Faculty.


Maksim Lata

Marketing

Mr Lata has worked for ATON since 2010, where he is responsible for the development of marketing and advertising.

Before joining ATON, Maksim worked as deputy director for media communications at Otkrytie, where he was responsible for coordinating marketing activities by the corporation various departments. He had previously worked in advertising for Renaissance Capital and Gazprom Media.

He graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO), specialising in management. He has a masters degree in international marketing from the ICN School of Business (France).


Yevgeny Malykhin

Investments

Yevgeny Malykhin has prior experience managing assets in the global and emerging markets; he has been working in the financial services industry for 13 years.

Before joining ATON, Yevgeny worked as a portfolio manager at some of the largest companies, including VTB Bank, Guta Group, Reserve Investment-Financial Company.

Graduated from the Moscow State University.


Agaron Papoyan

Corporate Finances

Before joining ATON, Agaron Papoyan was a partner and director of investment banking department at the investment company RCF, where he was responsible for projects on attracting capital, and mergers and acquisitions.

Before working at RCF, Agaron was a junior partner in consulting department at IBM. Previous to that, Agaron worked at Ernst&Young, where he was a senior manager specialising in consulting for the telecommunications sector.

Mr Papoyan graduated from the London Business School and has a graduate degree from the economics faculty at Moscow State University.


Andre Tikhomirov

Aton Capital Partners

22 years of work experience in the area of financial services on the CIS and CEE markets, including 13 years in PE sector.

Director at Russia Partners Management, a manager to a number of PE funds covering the CIS region with total AUM close to $1 billion.

Senior banker at EBRD responsible for PE funds operating in the CIS and CEE regions, with AUM of $900 million.

Member of the Administrative Council of the Russian Venture Capital Association from 2001 to 2005.

Graduated with honors from the Moscow Financial Institute in 1986. MBA degree from Harvard Business School in 1995.


Tatiana Frolova

DMA

Head of DMA in ATON since 2010.

Prior to joining ATON Tatiana was the Head of DMA Brokerage & Electronic Execution in Unicredit Securities, branch of Unicredit Group.

In 2006 worked at ATON’s trading desk before the sale of ATON’s institutional business to Unicredit.

Member of the MICEX-RTS Securities market committee.

Graduated from the Moscow Institute of Foreign Languages. Study an MBA programme in HSE.


Alexei Yazikov

Research

Alexei has been actively involved in securities markets since 1997, with a specific focus on analysing Russian, Eastern European and CIS securities, covering the utilities, metals and mining, consumer, banking and real estate sectors.

He has substantial experience both in Russia and abroad, having worked for Robert Fleming Securities, ING Financial Markets and JPMorgan Chase in London, and ATON Capital and Renaissance Capital in Moscow.

In 2008, Alexei won the prestigious Institutional Investor award for best real estate analyst.


Vadim Yarosh

Private, WM and Institutional clients

He heads the collective investment and wealth management divisions, as well as the division managing trusts for private and institutional clients.

He previously worked at FC Uralsib, where he progressed from manager-consultant for private clients, to head of Uralsib department for developing sales and consulting. He was responsible for building up the company’s own, and agency, sales networks, developing and implementing sales systems and technologies, and preparing specialists on investment products.

He graduated from the Moscow State Technical University and the State Academy of Investment Specialists.
